How Perma Blend adapted its tattoo ink production to new EU regulations

The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals in the EU, known as REACH, has changed the tattoo and pigment regulations for PMUs. In this article you will find out how Perma Blend, a global pigment producer, has adapted its production of tattoo inks to the new EU regulations.

REACH restricted companies' production and therefore the supply of quality inks to artists in the EU. However, Perma Blend saw the new regulation as an opportunity to produce quality inks that exceeded the new European standards.

LUXE, Perma Blend's EU-compliant pigment set for artists around the world, is the solution to this problem. Each ink set also includes a performance test and review of critical details, such as the presence of micro and heavy metals, to ensure safety.

Anne-Marie Rubino, founder of Perma Blend, faced multiple obstacles while developing LUXE, but her team realized that artists were counting on them to develop EU-compliant pigments so they could continue working.

The Perma Blend team has demonstrated that they pay particular attention to the color values, shades, transparencies and opaques of each shade, to ensure the usual quality that artists have come to know and now trust.

Thanks to its attention to the quality and safety of its products, Perma Blend has managed to overcome the challenges imposed by the new EU regulations and to offer its customers around the world a set of pigments that comply with the new regulations.
